One of the important aspects to vehicle communications is with regard to vehicle data policy. There is a range of data types including vehicles sensor that derive road and driving conditions, engine and
vehicle performance data, and driver characteristics and personalization that are presently captured and available for broadcast. In addition, as bidirectional communication of information becomes more prevalent, there is a whole new set of incident and driving
behavioural data that will be captured. The current views of automakers and government entities with regard to
practical use, ownership and value of this information will be discussed in this session. |
