The World Health Organization (WHO) defines the digital hospital as providing services within and outside the hospital walls, shifting away from facility-based care delivery to a smart virtual network of care centred on the patient, embedded in the health continuum towards improved health outcomes. Developing digital hospitals can improve the efficiency and sustainability of health services, delivering quality, affordable and equitable healthcare services.
Pre-triage guidance is designed to provide initial assessment and guidance for patients or individuals seeking medical care, typically before they reach a healthcare facility. Pre-triage guidance platform is one of the digital hospital's core digital systems, providing patient-centred, mobile, intelligent healthcare service. This platform is a digital tool designed to assist patients and healthcare providers in assessing and directing patients to the appropriate level of care before they arrive at a healthcare facility. This platform typically includes features such as pre-triage assessment, intelligent triage, health risk assessment and smart related smart guidance through the healthcare system. Implementing this platform can help achieve more information and less patient travelling, improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare services, as well as lead to more balanced, accessible and efficient healthcare services for people.
