Summary:
|
In feature-based video services, clients share feature rather than fully encoded video data and generate video based on the received feature. To support the feature-based video service over hybrid peer-to-peer communications, draft Recommendation Q.HP2P-fvsigreq defines the requirements to convey control information, feature, and key frame image using transport protocol.
While Recommendation ITU-T Q.4102 defines peer protocol to organize hybrid peer-to-peer network and distribute data to the peers in the network, a new Amendment of the Recommendation is initiated to give the protocol some extendibility for accommodating various service over hybrid peer-to-peer communications. The purpose of the extendibility is to convey data of various services over hybrid peer-to-peer network, and there is a need for a new variant of peer protocol using the extendibility to convey the data for feature-based video service over hybrid peer-to-peer network.
This Recommendation specifies protocol messages with their parameters and procedures of transport protocol for feature-based video services.
