Jules Verne's corner
Make possible the impossible:
"THE CHIP IN THE BRAIN"
13 December 2011
18:15 - 19:15
The Chip in the Brain is theme for the second
Jules Verne's corner (JVc). JVc is a special session of the ITU
Kaleidoscope academic conference, which in 2011 is entitled "The
fully networked human? − Innovations for future networks and services",
and it will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, on 14 December.
JVc is dedicated to the views of extremely advanced minds,
with the ability to think 50 years into the future and beyond as Jules Verne
did. In 2010 JVc saw presentations on new internet networks,
communication by telepathy, modeling of wireless networks and a rigorous
pseudo scientific demonstration of travel in time and space.
Jules Verne’s corner is the home for visionaries, science fiction
writers, journalists, movie directors and anybody else able to elucidate
an unpredictable future, putting forward inspiring, revolutionary ideas.
The objective is to share thoughts that might help develop communication
concepts to make possible the impossible during the
second half of the XXI century.
So don’t miss it on Tuesday 13 December at 18:15!
Three speakers:
Roberto Saracco (Telecom Italia, Italy),
Vasileios P. Spyropoulos (Medical Instrumentation Technology Department, Technological Education Institute of Athens, Greece) and
Rias J van Wyk (Technoscan Centre, USA) will be covering out of the box subjects that will challenge the audience.
