​​​​​​​​​Ms. Kumud Jindal, an Indian Telecom Service officer from the 2018 batch, is currently making significant strides in the Digital India landscape through her work at the Artificial Intelligence and Digital India Unit (DIU) of DoT. Ms. Jindal holds an M.Tech degree from IIT Delhi and a B.Tech from NIT Hamirpur. At AI&DIU, Ms. Jindal is working on the Sangam Digital Twin project, a visionary initiative aimed at leveraging digital twin technology to revolutionize urban planning and infrastructure development. She has played an important role in development of ASTR, an indigenously developed facial recognition tool to weed out fraudsters from the digital ecosystem. During the COVID-19 lockdown, she played a pivotal role in the implementation of Bulk Migrant Tracking System (BMTS) that was a crucial in assisting migrant workers. Ms. Jindal has keen interest in exploring and integrati​​ng cutting-edge technologies like big data and AI into public service frameworks. Her work not only enhances operational efficiencies but also fosters inclusive growth and accessibility, aligning with her vision of using technology as a catalyst for positive change to achieve the vision of a digitally empowered society. ​
