Session 5: Smart Cities and Water Management
The objective of the session will discuss the concept of smart cities and provide an overview of the role of ICTs as an enabler for smart water management in a city environment. This session will also examine how countries are implementing smart metering and how smart water metering can help reduce the carbon footprint. The session will also address the challenges faced by cities in general and potable water, as well as setting up early warning systems probing into how water consumption habits could become “smart”.
