Training on SMS4DC

International Telecommunication Union (ITU) organized a Training Workshop on Spectrum Management System for Developing Countries (SMS4DC) held from 12 to 14 of February 2019 in Vientiane, Lao P.D.R.

The training organized by ITU and hosted by Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPT) of Lao P.D.R.

Objective

The objective of this training workshop is to build human capacity and skills of participants who can effectively use the SMS4DC tool for efficient spectrum Management in their respective countries. Hence the training is essentially targeted towards the Spectrum Managers and the users of SMS4DC tool (both current and prospective).

Training planned accordingly with emphasis on practical exercises. The participants may also use the opportunity to have face to face discussion with the expert on any specific issue being faced while using the software.

Notes for Participants

Training Fee: The training attendance is free of cost. However the participants are expected to make their arrangements by their own selves.
Registration: For registration please contact training coordinator Mr Aamir Riaz (aamir.riaz@itu.int).
Requirements for Workshop: Participants are requested to bring your computing device (Laptop etc.) along with the hard Dongle key of SMS4DC (Keys of any version of SMS4DC would work). ITU would try to have limited extra dongles however in all cases the participant has to bring in his/her own laptop.
Logistics: ALL participants from outside Lao P.D.R, kindly check in advance the visa requirements from your nearest embassy of Lao well in advance.
Recommended hotels: The recommended hotesl near the venue are ibis Vientiane Nam Phu Hotel and AV hotel
