ICT Development Fund Projects

​​​​​​​​Launched in 1997, the Information and Communication Technologies Development Fund (ICT-DF) supports the implementation of projects based on multi-stakeholder partnerships with ITU Member States, Sector Members, public and private sector, multilateral organizations, foundations, financial institutions and development agencies. It contributes to sustainable development through the co-financing of ICT national, regional and multi-regional development projects. 

The ICT-DF is mainly targeted at supporting the least developed countries (LDCs), small island developing states (SIDS), landlocked developing countries, countries with economies in transition and/or countries in special need (countries emerging out of the war situations and/or natural disasters). As approved at the ITU Council-23, the ICT-DF will also support projects under the WTDC-22 Regional Initiatives​​.
