The BDT Director attended the WSIS Forum 2023, held from 13 – 17 March in Geneva, Switzerland.
He gave remarks and interventions at various sessions and also moderated others, including:
- WSIS Action Line ALFM C2: Infrastructure and WSIS Action Line C5: Cybersecurity, under the title 'Building Resilient Societies: Where do we go from here?'
- High-Level Dialogue: Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) & Citizen Centric Digital Service Design.
- Digital Cooperation and partnerships for inclusive sustainable Development
- Ministerial Round Table
- High-Level Dialogue: Accelerating Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Digital Development
- ICT Indicators for monitoring international goals and targets
- Leveraging the Power of Sports for Children's Online Safety: A High-Level Dialogue
- Rwanda's Country Workshop
He also awarded certificates to WSIS Champions for Action Lines 4-11, and also awarded the WSIS Special GovStack Prize on Digital Service Design to the Winner. During the WSIS Forum, he held bilateral discussions with Ministers, representatives from UN agencies ITU Member States, Sector Members and other stakeholders.
