In Recommendation ITU-T G.9806 (2020) and Amendments, launched power transmitted by OLT and ONU are meant to be identical. But in the current Recommendations, this is not the case. A typo in Table 7-2 in “Mean launch power MAX” for OLT’s Class S value has been found, “+5.6” instead of “-5.6” was introduced during the AR process and got carried on in subsequent documents. Therefore existing table 7-2.1 in ITU-T G.9806 needs to be fixed.
