Description *
The Learning and Innovation Network or RIA, is a project that annually impacts more than 100,000 people in 34 low-income communities in Mexico. The network focuses on an educational intervention model composed by infrastructure, training, analysis of learning patterns, connectivity and content creation. The RIA contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in different ways. Through its 70 centers, the RIA promotes the lifelong learning (Goal 4), offering a fairly robust academic offer for all sectors of the population (Goal 10) with special emphasis on women and girls for whom there are focused programs (Goal 5), this makes possible for people to develop their soft, digital, social and cognitive skills, among others. The RIA empowers people gain skills that can be applied in the work sector and thus aids in breaking the cycle of poverty (Goal 1), through the lifelong learning they are prepared to reach their maximum potential; then in association with private sector, we generate economic opportunities promoting the decent work, entrepreneurship (Goal 8) and economic growth within communities. All this is possible due to the partnership between the government, the private sector and civil society (Goal 17), because we work together for a common goal, that people from low-income communities can gain access to educational and professional opportunities.
