The e-recruitment System is in line with Government’s Mission in achieving the Second Economic Miracle and Vision 2030 by embedding the use of technology in the day-to-day life of every Mauritian. The propose e-Recruitment System will be an innovative breakthrough as citizens will be able to apply for a post not only from a Personal computer but also through their Smartphones. The Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Disciplined Forces Service Commission (DFSC) have modernized its recruitment system, whereby public service vacancies are being filled through online application. All jobs vacancies within the public service are being advertised online and candidates are required to submit application for through the online system. The system provides an instant acknowledgement to candidates who would apply online and also enable candidates to query the status of their applications form. The e-recruitment system automatically captures data and feed same electronically in the system. The system will enable the electronic screening of data received from candidates and reports on the number of eligible and non-eligible candidates will be generated instantly. Candidates will be able to send only one application for a job and the system will recognize them by their identity card number. If ever, there is correction on candidates' data, the candidate could update same on its previous application but within the prescribed delay.
