From smart city to open city: Lessons from Jakarta Smart City was a research project carried out by CIPG, in collaboration with Open Data Labs Jakarta. It was funded by The Web Foundation. The study highlights issues related to open data and public participation, using Jakarta Smart City as a case study. The research suggests that although the smart city programme has succeeded in providing public reporting tools, it has yet reached the notion of open city.
