Description *
Girls in ICT was a 1-day program that empowered secondary school girls mainly from underserved schools, between the ages of 13–17 years with knowledge and skills to influence their career decisions and enhance academic success. The event held on the 28th of April, 2016 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria and was attended by 103 girls who interacted with leading female role models in ICT professions; participated in hands-on workshops and seminars, and gained insight into the fields of ICT and the opportunities they offer.
