Non-reimbursable contributions for deployment of connectivity infrastructure in towns with less than 30,000 inhabitants

Description

ENACOM considers Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as a basic and indispensable human right for building a federal nation and digital citizenship. In this sense, we promote the financing of programs in order to bridging of the digital divide; create new jobs and develop specialized workforce for industries.
As a distinctive feature, the Call to receive Non-Reimbursable Contributions in towns with up to 30,000 inhabitants makes it possible to improve or deploy network infrastructure for broadband access and its extension in unserved or underserved areas. The program finances up to 80% of the financeable items of the projects presented
As a result of this public policy several projects have been approved and the amount awarded exceeded 2,500 million pesos (nearly U$S 14.500.000)
