In the framework of the Talent Hackathon of Campus Party 2017, held in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, from July 5 to 9, 2017, the Ministry of Public Function and the Coordination of the National Digital Strategy through the Unit of Digital Government, participated with the Vertical of Digital Government, with the objective of developing technological solutions based on Blockchain to address specific problems in the public sector.The Vertical of Digital Government was satisfied with six public policy challenges on: Digital identity, e.firma (advanced electronic signature based on the use of public and private keys), Guarantee deposit certificates, Public Registry of Property and Commerce of the State of Jalisco, Transfer of support for reforestation and an open challenge. In the vertical 40 teams were registered, of which 10 reached the final where the winning team was determined, as well as two honorable mentions.The winning team developed a prototype of public tenders based on Blockchain that allows the public tender process to be reliable, adding the factor of citizen participation and ensuring that the winning proposal of the bidding process is the one that generates the greatest social benefit. The winning team has been hire under the talent program of the Ministry and the alpha version of the service will be launch in the 2018 edition of the hackathon next April.
