First Meeting of the Open Consultation Process - WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2025

This session is part of the Open Consultation Process (OCP) and aims to gather inputs from stakeholders to shape the agenda, program, and format of the WSIS Forum 2025, branded as the WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2025. This Event will be co-hosted by ITU and Swiss Confederation. The session will invite stakeholders to engage in open discussions, share ideas, and contribute to the development of the Event. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the latest updates and activities related to the WSIS Process and its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The OCP presents new calls for action, inviting stakeholders to provide their perspectives on key themes and innovative approaches for the Event. This includes other calls for contributions, such as WSIS Stocktaking, WSIS Prizes, WSIS Photo Contest, and WSIS Special Prizes.
The WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2025 will serve as a platform for discussion of the WSIS+20 review and the WSIS Action Lines and to take stock of the achievements and key trends, challenges and opportunities since the Geneva Plan of Action. It will also highlight the way forward in preparation for the second final review by the UN General Assembly.
During this session, co-hosts and co-organizers will share the latest updates on preparations for the WSIS+20 High-Level Event in 2025. Following the updates, participants are invited to join an open discussion to exchange ideas and insights.
