PEAKS Academy in association with Prayaana is proud to organize this Virtual Event aimed at empowering girls and young women to break barriers in STEM education, to have more women in leadership roles in tech fields, and to be safe on the internet. Listen to some amazing speakers from across the globe who are working towards gender equality, the inclusion of girls, cyber safety, and girls' education. Science, technology, and innovation are key drivers of our increasingly global and digital society. But less than 30% of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) professionals are women. Isn't it time we changed this equation?The main goal of Girls in ICT is to cultivate the presence and digital skills of young women and girls [aged 12-24] in the career field of STEM, particularly ICT. The aim of the observance is to provide girls with the essential foundation of confidence, courage, and support which they often lack due to gender and societal stereotypes, in STEM education and careers. Safe Access to ICT and developing digital skills can help empower girls in education, career, business, financial management, and health care services.
