Description of the event
|
For girls and young women to thrive in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers, they need safe and reliable access to the internet, education, and digital tools. That’s why, in consultation with youth, International Telecommunication Union (ITU) identified “Access & Safety” as the theme for Girls in ICT 2022. This year, International Girls in ICT Day will be celebrated on 28 April worldwide.To celebrate this special day, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and Bangladesh Women in Technology (BWiT) are jointly going to organize a weeklong event titled 'Luna Shamsuddhoha Girls in ICT Week 2022' from April 22 to April 28, 2022.Weeklong celebration contains -1. Online Seminar "Bringing more girls in ICT-the BDGCC Experience”.2. Programming Camp to learn advanced level C programming.3. International Girls in ICT Day Programming Contest will be arranged for these girls on 28 April4. Job Exposure Visit to industry for girls'.5. Featuring Inspiring ICT Women:
