|
Mercy Hands Humanitarian Aid is organising the event titled: "2022 Girls Coding Contest" The purpose of this event is: To enhances computer programming skills of girls aged 12 to 15 year old.The targeted cohort is Intermediate (middle school) girl students in Shatt Al Arab District, Basra Governorate (these are the 22 schools that were targeted by two projects with CFLI and UNICEF as donors). This Research & Development event is considered supplemental to CFLI project in the sense that it enhances computer programming skills of girls aged 12 to 15 year old. Online registration for the contest opened April 19th 2022. Girls will need to submit their coding project online with the application. The last day to apply is April 27th 2022. The applicants will be invited to present their projects on the day of the contest. A committee that consists of 3 members (1. Mercy Hands; 2. Shatt Al Arab Department of Education; and 3. A 3rd party) will select the 3 best projects. The winners will receive awards (such as laptop, tablet, and smartphone).
