At ACT | The App Association, we are committed to promoting equitable access to resources and opportunities in the digital space. In honor of the 2022 International Girls in ICT Day, we cordially invite you to join us for a conversation geared towards middle and high school girls on the challenges and triumphs of women who have navigated the ICT/ STEM world. Our esteemed panel will explore the current landscape of STEM education in the United States and its impact on workforce development within the app economy, while also sharing their origin stories and inspiring pieces of wisdom under the theme of “access and safety.” The event will take place via Zoom on April 27th, 12:00 -1:10 PM ET.During this webinar, attendees will have the opportunity to observe and participate in a panel discussion that highlights:• the importance of STEM education for girls and young women;• what it is like to be a woman in STEM (and where to start);• how to overcome obstacles and challenges in a digital environment;• the state of workforce development in the app economy (specifically how national comprehensive computer science education can improve career trajectory); and• networking.
