The Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program at NASA Glenn Research Center and TechGirlz have partnered to host an educational workshop on Tuesday, April 26th in honor of Girls in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Day. Girls in ICT Day is a global initiative to encourage young women to consider studies and careers in the ICT field.Students in 6th - 8th grade are invited to learn why cybersecurity is important and the practices and tools that can help people and organizations protect their critical information. We will conduct exercises to examine some of the technology that is used to help protect computer systems and networks. Students will participate in online simulations showing how experts evaluate and manage cybersecurity risk. Attendees will need access to a computer and the internet.
