Description of the event

The Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) Program at NASA Glenn Research Center and Tech Elevator have partnered to host an educational workshop on Monday, April 25th in honor of Girls in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Day. Girls in ICT Day is a global initiative to encourage young women to consider studies and careers in the ICT field.Students in 9th - 12th grade will learn how HTML and CSS are used to build websites by building a simple fan page for your favorite viral pet, TikTok artist, Netflix miniseries... anything you're into! Follow along with our Tech Elevator instructor to learn the building blocks of the internet and at the end, you'll have a snazzy webpage to show off. Participants would need to download Visual Studio Code (https://code.visualstudio.com/) and have an internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc) installed on their computer.
