Ms. Naganuma has experiences in the ICT industry, particularly in security area, over 18 years and had a career as a security consultant focusing on information security management, governance and service management across various sectors in HP. She also had cybersecurity research experiences for security operation and coordinated public and private projects in a managed security service provider, LAC Co. Ltd.

In 2015, she joined Cyber Security Strategy Division in NEC Corporation and has taken the leadership in global cybersecurity discussion that involves various countries/areas/regions considering the different requirements for cybersecurity actions. She currently extends her responsibility to promote policy and regulatory perspectives in Regulatory Research Office and to also discuss cybersecurity and AI perspectives.

During the career, she has been actively involved in international discussion in various organisations, and experts’ committees/forums/consortiums over 15 years. She has responsibilities as Vice Rapporteur of ITU-D SG2 Question 3, Rapporteur of ITU-T SG17 Question 3, Chairman of APT/ASTAP Working Group on Service and Applications and Expert Group on Security, etc., and participates communities for IT security techniques, IT service management and governance, Block-chain and DLT, and AI. She also member of government’s committees and task-forces (Cabinet Office, Government of Japan, and Ministry of Internal affairs and communications) for AI and telecommunication areas.
