Two Round Tables were organized, as a part of the official
Summit program, to provide heads of State or Government with the
opportunity to engage in an interactive discussion on the
overarching theme “From Commitment to Action: Implementation
after Tunis” with leaders from organizations and
entities attending the Summit. The Round Tables were
held on the second day of the Summit, Thursday, 17 November
2005, in parallel with the plenary meetings. The first
Round Table was held from 11:00 to 13:00, and the second one from 15:00 to 17:00.
Half
of the participants came from States (Heads of State/Government), and
half from organizations and entities attending the Summit as observers.
Interpretation was provided in the six official languages of the Summit:
Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
