he 2022 ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-22) was convened in Kigali, Rwanda from 6 to 16 June 2022. WTDC-22 produced several outputs, including the Kigali Action Plan (KAP) for the period 2023-2027, 28 Regional Initiatives applicable for the period 2023-2025, new Study Group Questions for the period 2022-2025, as well as four new resolutions. Although the outputs were developed and agreed at the same time, the work cycle dates for each output is different. In summary, the implications of the above outlined situation is: Study Group questions - for the period 2022 to 2025, work started immediately after WTDC-22 and continues until presentation of the report at WTDC-25. Regional Initiatives - for the period 2023 to 2025, work starts at the beginning of the year after WTDC-22, and continues until the end of the year after WTDC-25. New resolutions and amendments of existing resolutions take effect from the end of WTDC-22, and continue until they are amended or suppressed. Appointment of TDAG and Study Group leadership Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen takes effect from the time of appointment, until new appointments are made at WTDC-25. The purpose of this report is to update TDAG on the outcomes of the WTDC-22, to note the work cycle established for WTDC-22 outputs, and seek any guidance from TDAG on the way forward.
