- 14 new study Questions were adopted at WTDC for the 2022 – 2025 study period. The ITU-D study groups are tasked with drafting reports, guidelines, and recommendations on a range of topics related to ICTs in the context of digital development.
- The first meetings of Study Group 1 and Study Group 2 for the new study period took place on 28 November – 2 December and 5–9 December respectively.
- ITU-D Study Group 1 & 2 chairmen and vice-chairmen were appointed at WTDC. ITU-D Study Group 1 & 2 rapporteurs and vice-rapporteurs were appointed during the first meetings of the study period.
- The new study Questions fall under two broad categories:
- Study Group 1: Enabling environment for meaningful connectivity
- Study Group 2: Digital Transformation
