• The work of ITU in cybersecurity now benefits almost all countries in the region. To further leverage the cooperation between national CERTs, the first ever inter-regional CyberDrill for Arab States and CIS regions was organized in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
  • The Digital Skills Center for women and youth was inaugurated in Tashkent during the celebration of International Girls in ICT Day. The Center was established with the financial support of ZTE Corporation in cooperation with the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications and IT-Park Uzbekistan.
  • The Child Online Protection (COP) program was rolled out in Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. 
  • Assistance was provided to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan to align the national ICT statistical framework with ITU methodologies and enhance ICT statistical work in the country.
  • Specialized training on digital government services for local authorities was delivered in Belarus.  
  • 5G programme country reports reflect the status, key challenges, and possible solutions to advance 5G implementation, which will help facilitate 5G implementation in the countries and help ITU to plan its further interventions.
