• The IPv6 and IoT Expertise Centre for Arab Region started to deliver capacity development activities on IPv6 and IoT and to support four countries in developing their national IPv6 strategies. The Centre also assists in the creation of national IPv6 task forces.
  • The National Emergency Telecommunication Plan for the State of Palestine was developed. 
  • 1 000 children were trained on digital financial literacy in Jordan, in collaboration with Meem Ain from Saudi Arabia, as part of the Malee project. Jordan was also assisted in developing its digital health national strategy in partnership with WHO.
  • A digital innovation country profile for Oman presenting a full assessment of the digital innovation ecosystem in the country and highlighting a set of recommendations was finalized.
  • GovStack Arab regional activities focused on assisting and collaborating with stakeholders in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Algeria.
  • A project focused on digital skills and infrastructure was launched in Tunisia, in partnership with GIZ.
  • A COP project to disseminate COP guidelines and building capacity activities for children, parents, educators, and ICT professionals was launched in Morocco.
  • The International Centre of Digital Innovation (I-CoDI) Regional Hub for Arab States, hosted by the UAE, was established and activities kicked-off with an ideation workshop in partnership with the UN agencies in Egypt and the Ministry of International Cooperation.
  • A program was launched to help start-ups and innovative SMEs establish an overseas sales presence and boost international business development.
  • Countries were assisted with the development of their cybersecurity strategies through a regional workshop, organized in partnership with the UAE.
  • A project to support Morocco in developing its cybersecurity strategy was launched.
  • Mauritania was assisted to validate it cybersecurity strategy.
  • The region’s cyber capabilities were strengthened through the first-ever Inter-Regional CyberDrill for the Arab States and CIS regions.
