As of October 2022, ITU-D Sector Members, Associates and Academia of 491 entities represents a multistakeholder community comprised of public and private entities from the wide ICT ecosystem, regional and international organizations, academia, and research institutions, amongst others. In 2022, 14 Sector Members and 19 Academia have joined ITU-D, as follows:
The Industry Advisory Group on Development Issues and Private Sector Chief Regulatory Officers’ (IAGDI-CRO) meeting, held in February 2022, contributed to the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition and catalyzed announcements of concrete proposals and pledges from our valued ITU-D Sector Members.
As of October 2022, ITU-D membership has contributed to P2C with over 80 pledges worth USD 8.8 billion.
The ITU-D Membership Testimonials campaign continues to collect C-level industry and private sector members’ views on the value of ITU-D membership. Displayed on ITU events and social media “Why are we ITU-D Members?”, it promotes the voice of our Sector Members and raises awareness on the value of ITU-D membership to the development work.
