• ITU and the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office have been collaborating to promote effective regulation, greater investment and innovative models for school connectivity in underserved communities and for broader digital inclusion in the Digital Access Programme (DAP) countries of Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Indonesia and Brazil.
  • The work has included assessments of policy and regulatory barriers, the development of a Universal Service Financing Efficiency Toolkit, the creation of interactive connectivity maps, the development of training courses plus national digital skills demand and supply assessments.
  • Roundtables, trainings and workshops have taken place in all of the countries to discuss the findings with stakeholders, share lessons learnt and identify next steps.
