• The Generation Connect Visionaries Board met regularly, and a partnerships working sub-group was set up to mobilize members’ resources and network towards the delivery of the Generation Connect Global Youth Summit. 
  • The ITU Youth Task Force, a group of staff working together to effectively coordinate and mainstream youth engagement efforts across ITU, launched a Young Professionals Programme and a Youth Mentorship Programme
  • 12 outstanding young women aged 18-24 from developing countries (two from each ITU region) were selected as the inaugural group of ‘Generation Connect Gender Champions’.
  • The Generation Connect Digital Learning Certificate was launched for youth aged 18–29.
  • ITU’s work on youth has an updated and stronger mandate with WTDC Resolution 76 – Kigali 2022: Promoting information and communication technologies among young women and men for social and economic empowerment, with references to the implementation of the ITU Youth Strategy and to Generation Connect.
