- A collaboration with GIZ and UNEP was launched to support the implementation of extended producer responsibility (EPR) and digital solutions in Rwanda’s regulatory approach to manage e-waste.
- Together with UNITAR-SCYCLE, regional e-waste baseline surveys for households and businesses were piloted in Kenya and Burundi.
- A GenerationConnect Global E-waste Iconathon invited young people (18–29) to design a universal icon to signify the take-back and collection of e-waste for recycling. The winning icon, Lemnis, was designed by Shergaun Roserie from Saint Lucia.
