For the third time in a row, Gender center - Center for Gender Equality of Republic of Srpska in collaboration with partners marked International Girls in ICT Day with various activities, events with the aim of encouraging girls and women and to increase their visibility, interest and participation in education and professional careers in ICT, innovation, technical, engineering fields. Media very actively supported all the activities and events.

Activities 2014:

04/23/2014 Event "Little School of Word press, starting a blog and websites" was organized in the Innovation Center Banja Luka. Aim of the event: Training girls to use ICT tools in order to use ICT tools and to be active through digital media. Organizers of the event were the Youth Council of the Republic of Srpska and Gender Center of Republic of Srpska.

04/24/2014. Event - Conference and Tweet Up called "Girls and ICT" held in Banja Luka, organized by the Gender Center of Republic of Srpska, the Youth Council of the Republic of Srpska and Perpetuum Mobile - Center for Youth Development and Community Banja Luka. The conference featured two panels "ICT as a prestigious profession of the 21st century" and "Digital Media" which exhibited specialists/experts in the field of ICT, and they inspired girls to be educated, trained and employed in the field of ICT.  There were also projection of short movies and videos of gender and ICT. After the conference it was the Tweet Up with music and cookies. Conference participants were girls from schools and universities and representatives of institutions (Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education and Culture, Children Ombudsman RS, RS Pedagogical Institute).
