In service function chain (SFC), an ordered set of abstract service functions are defined with ordering constraints that must be applied to packets and/or frames and/or flows selected as a result of classification and/or policy (Recommendation ITUT�X.1045). Recommendation ITU-T Y.3214 describes the SFC in fixed, mobile and satellite convergence (FMSC) in IMT-2020 networks and beyond. It covers overview on SFC, requirements of SFC, SFC modification, network function enhancements for SFC, and security considerations in FMSC.
