Dr. James KEMPF
graduated from the University of Arizona in 1983 with a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering. From 1983-1988 Dr. Kempf worked for
Hewlitt-Packard, on object-oriented programming. In 1988, Dr. Kempf moved to Sun Microsystems, where he worked on a variety of research and product projects over 13 years that he was at Sun. In 2001, Dr. Kempf joint DoCoMo Laboratories USA as a Research Fellow.
Dr. Kempf is a member of the Internet Architecture Board and an active contributor to the Internet Engineering Task Force, where he chairs two working groups (Seamoby and SEND).
