The draft agenda for the Global Symposium on Promoting the Multilingual Internet being
jointly organized by ITU and UNESCO in cooperation with their partner organizations is as follows:
- Opening
- Symposium objectives and organization
- Overview of existing standards and technical solutions
- Presentation of operational experiences
- Organization of thematic sessions
- Discussion on existing solutions and experiences focusing on the identification of open issues
- Presentation of conclusions and recommendations of thematic sessions
- Preparation of a draft roadmap for further steps to promote the Multilingual Internet
- Closing of the meeting
A detailed programme is currently being developed and updated will be posted on the event web site.
Invited speakers will address agenda items 3 and 4 and written contributions are invited on the
themes of the event. They should be sent in final form to
multilingual@itu.int before 25 April 2006. |
