At the kind invitation of the Botswana Telecommunications Authority, ITU-T is organizing a two-day Workshop on “Practical measurement of EMF exposure” from 25 to 26 July 2011. This workshop will take place at the Gaborone International Conference Centre (GICC), Gaborone, Botswana.
Background
Radiofrequency (RF) radiation emitted by antennas mounted on communication towers, mobile phone base stations, radio stations, etc and erected in residential areas is growing. This workshop will address this problem and show compliance to EMF exposure limits and at the same time create awareness. A state-of-the-art EMF measuring equipment and relevant standards showing the process for EMF in situ measurement will also be displayed during the workshop.
Objectives
The objectives of this workshop is to expand and consolidate theoretical knowledge in the field of radio signal measurements, to increase practical experience by being able to measure and interpret (non Ionizing) radiation levels from different EMF sources.
Audience
Mobile phone operators, Communications Regulators, Regulators, Researchers and Academicians.
Survey
Please take a few minutes to respond to the following survey, which is designed to assess your satisfaction with this event. Information that you provide will be treated confidentially (only overall ratings will be published). Thank you for your time.
