CVs of the speakers
Cristina Bescos is, since mid 2002, the Telemedicine Technical Coordinator of the TM-Alliance Project,
working in the Life Science in Space Division of the European Space Agency, in Noordwijk (The Netherlands).
She has worked as Virtual Reality Engineer (visiting scientist) at the Simulation Lab of the European Space
Agency (2001) and at the Miralab of the University of Geneva (2000). She had a Researcher position at the
Bioengineering and Telemedicine Group of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (1999-2002), and Telefonica I+D
(1997-1999), participating in several European projects.
Cristina Bescos has a degree in Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, where she is also
a Ph.D. candidate; her thesis is about "Virtual Reality in Telemedicine".
