At the kind invitation of the Ministry of Information Technology and
Communications of the Republic of Moldova, ITU will organize a
Regional Workshop on Bridging the Standardization Gap for the
CIS States on
7 October 2011. This Workshop will be preceded by the
ITU Cross Regional Seminar on Broadband Access (Fixed, Wireless
including Mobile) for CIS, ASP and EUR Regions from
3 to 6 October 2011.
The workshop and Cross Regional Seminar are being organized by ITU in
cooperation with the Ministry of Information Technology and
Communications of the Republic of Moldova. The events will take place
from 3 to 7 October 2011 in the premises of the Conference Center of
Hotel “CODRU”, White Hall, Chisinau, Moldova.
Objectives
The workshop is designed to provide concrete advice and best practices
on participation by developing countries in global standards development
and building nation standards readiness. It will also examine standards
work on key new technologies.
Audience
The event is intended for administrations and public institutions, ICT
companies, service providers, vendors, manufacturers, ICT regulators,
national standards bodies, test labs, certifiers, organizations from
developing countries and civil society.
