This is the new report from the ITU and TeleGeography Inc., published in October 1999. The subject of the report is the market for minutes of international telecommuciations traffic, with a focus on the transition from the traditional revenue-sharing of the accounting rate system to more cost-oriented mechanisms, and on how this may affect developing nations. The report provides some 340 pages of analysis, complete with data tables and charts, as well as extracts from key documents, essential for an overall view of the debate surrounding international telecommunications traffic. The report includes summary tables showing traffic trends for the world as a whole, and country tables showing bilateral traffic volumes for the period 1993-97 for the top 20 routes of all the major traffic-reporting economies. English only. 340 pp. SAP: 15630
