Event Description
The
Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT of the International
Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the Odessa
National Academy of Telecommunications named after A. Popov (ONAT)
is organizing the Regional Seminar on Telecommunications/ICTs Costs
and Tariffs for CIS Countries, which will be held in Odessa,
Ukraine.
The
Seminar will focus on the following issues: current trends of
telecommunication/ICT development in the world and in CIS countries;
strategic aspects for building effective regulation mechanisms,
regulatory support, as well as organizational and procedural aspects
of telecommunications/ICT tariff regulation; international mobile
roaming and tariff issues for cross-border connectivity for mobile;
economic aspects and costing of NGNs in a broadband environment;
capacity building on tariff setting mechanism in telecommunications/ICTs.
This Seminar is intended for representatives from ministries,
regulators, telecommunication operators, universities and other
stakeholders of ITU Member States, Sector Members and Associates
from the CIS Region.
