Eligibility
Subject to the availability of funds, one
participant from a Least Developed Country may apply for a fellowship if duly authorized by his/her
administration. While the number of delegates from any country is
not limited, countries will bear the costs of any additional
delegate.
Deadline and procedure
You are invited to submit your request for a
fellowship no later than Friday, 19 June 2009 by
clicking the appropriate box of the online Registration and
Fellowship form. You must have first registered online in order to
be able to receive the Fellowship form.
Upon acceptance of your registration, you will
automatically receive the fellowship request form which you are
requested to complete, sign and have it signed by the
approving officer of your administration along with the
official stamp of the administration.
Once complete, you may either scan it and
e‑mail it to BDT
BDT bdtfellowships OR

Air ticket and subsistence allowance
Due to budgetary constraints and depending on
the number of requests from candidates who fulfill all requirements,
the countries beneficiaries of a fellowship may have to contribute
partly to the costs of the fellowship.
In the case of partial fellowships, all
applicants will receive a confirmation of the share expected from
their administrations. At that point, the fellowship request can be
confirmed or withdrawn by the approving officer who signed the form.
A full fellowship includes one return economy
class air ticket by the most direct/economical route from the
country of origin to Kampala as well as a daily allowance to cover
accommodation, meals and incidental expenses.
It is imperative that fellows be present from the first
day to end of the meeting and participate during the entire
fellowship period.
