Summary:
|
The metaverse is a vast virtual space comprising numerous distinct virtual worlds, each with its unique purpose and characteristics. Within this diversity of virtual worlds, there exists a specific type of virtual world that incorporates digital twins. In such a virtual world, each digital twin serves as an interface bridging the gap between virtual and physical worlds, enabling bidirectional interaction between virtual objects and the corresponding counterparts. Through this bidirectional interaction facilitated by digital twins, information from physical objects can be transmitted to the corresponding virtual objects in the virtual world, resulting in synchronization between them. Manipulating virtual objects can lead to the control of physical objects.
This draft Recommendation explores the service scenarios and defines the requirements of integrating virtual and physical worlds through digital twins for the metaverse.
