Summary:
|
Network security is facing more challenges and threats from new attack technologies or unknown vulnerabilities. And continuous penetration test in the actual production environment may cause physical equipment failure and system collapse. Cybersecurity simulation platform under cloud computing, can provide a high-simulation environment of the actual production environment quickly. In the cybersecurity simulation platform, users such as security vendor can verify their planned network security solutions without the need to use expensive physical hardware devices, conduct various deep and continuous penetration test without the influence on the actual production environment. For the discovered vulnerabilities, the patch can be tested firstly in the cybersecurity simulation platform, to determine whether the patch will affect the actual production environment.
It is easier to develop a cybersecurity simulation platform by using cloud computing, especially to develop it from the code level. Cybersecurity simulation platform could inherit the characteristic of cloud computing, which has a scalable and elastic pool of shareable physical or virtual resources. They can use the cybersecurity simulation platform to simulate their network architecture, system, equipment, and business process on demand easily and quickly, and do test at some certain network environment without using expensive physical hardware devices or having influence on the actual production environment.
