Summary (provides a brief overview of the purpose and contents of the Recommendation, thus permitting readers to judge its usefulness for their work):
Considering the importance of International mobile Roaming aspects and the need for a collaborative approach to have an efficient and affordable roaming regime, it is proposed that members of Asia Oceania region may work on a regional recommendation on this aspect. This proposed regional recommendation may review the ITU-T recommendations D.98 as well as D.97 and propose any reforms in view of the latest development in the ecosystem of International Mobile Roaming.
Also, a framework indicating the principles to be followed for establishing bilateral or multilateral or regional roaming arrangements in this Asia-Oceanic region may also be suggested. The best practices followed in other regions and the experience of member-states in this context can be used as benchmark to prepare the regional recommendation.
