Summary: Coronary CT angiography (CCTA) has been recognized as the first choice of imaging modality for patients with low to intermediate-risk coronary heart disease and is widely used in clinical practice. How to reduce the workload of imaging post-processing and ensure the diagnosis accuracy of CCTA is one vital problem for radiologists. The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in cardiovascular imaging may help to increase efficiency and improve the workflow of CCTA. To help industry development and make AI-assisted diagnostic technique meet the request of clinical practice, the Cardio-thoracic Working Group of the Chinese Society of Radiology investigated the request for the development and clinical application of AI-assisted diagnostic techniques in CCTA, referred to domestic and overseas guidelines and references, combined our national conditions and drew up this guideline. This Technical Paper introduces expert consensus on database construction of CCTA, data specification and quality control, functions of image post-processing and assisted diagnosis and clinical evaluation. It may help to get consensus in the medical imaging field and facilitate the development and application of artificial AI-assisted diagnostic techniques in cardiovascular imaging.
