Summary:

The Head-Up Display (HUD) presents vital information on a transparent display, conveniently positioned within the user's line of sight, minimizing distractions and improving situational awareness of driver. By addressing key areas such as information capacity, information positioning and layout, colour selection, and integration with intelligent driving and smart cockpit systems, HUD could help to enhance driving safety, usability, and user experience of the intelligent vehicle.
This Recommendation proposes to establish a new work item on RHUD-IV "Requirements for head-up display interface for intelligent vehicle". The purpose of this work item is to define the use cases and requirements of this RHUD-IV, which to ensure a safety, efficiency, and pleasant vehicle user experience.
