Summary: Digital twin is an equivalent mapping of the physical world in the information world, achieving interactive integration, and optimizing and improving the full life cycle process management of the physical world through the application of AI, XR and other next-generation digital technologies. As a new means of museum digital transformation, digital twin has become an important application for constructing various digital and virtual scenarios in museums. To promote the development of museum digital twins and provide users with better experiences, this recommendation presents a public service reference framework and visual elements of museum digital twins. This recommendation introduces four component models of digital twins for museum: data acquisition, physical space (museum), digital space, and public service, and elaborates on them in detail. This standard is conducive to promoting the digital transformation and sustainable development of traditional museums, providing higher quality museum services to the public, and providing clear guidance and basis for promoting the healthy development of the industry for all stakeholders.
