This draft Recommendation specifies the requirements and architecture for the IPTV end-user device management system supporting multicast services in home networks. In this draft Recommendation, for different scenarios and use cases, the end-user functions including IPTV terminal functions and home network functions supporting multicast services are further specified. The related functional components and the reference points are also defined accordingly.
With this Recommendation, IPTV service providers and network operators can remotely manage end users' multimedia services, and adjust the configuration of end-user devices to support IPTV multicast services.
